A incrível tradição hollywoodiana de lançar filmes temáticos na época das festas de fim de ano se mantém e, nesta quinta, a estreia de semana vai para quem se amarra numa aventura de Natal. Exceto que, dessa vez, tem que se amarrar num palavrão também!

“Perfeita é a Mãe 2” é a sequência da comédia que o ratinho legendou no ano passado. Para quem não assistiu, está lá na Netflix com a nossa tradução! O filme original foi uma boa comédia, que introduziu um grupo de jovens mães frustradas com a sobrecarga da jornada dupla entre casa e trabalho que decide tacar o ****-se e se divertir um pouco. A gente esperava uma sequência bacana, mas ficou surpreso com a qualidade do filme. Some às pressões da vida materna a pressão do Natal e da relação das mães com as suas próprias mães e XABLAU! Comédia histérica de engraçada.
O filme tem muitas piadas incríveis e já adiantamos que vai render uma edição especial de “Daredevilish Subtitling” só dele. Porém, para não dar spoilers e acabar com a brincadeira, resolvemos focar hoje num aspecto importante e não muito discutido da nossa área: a revisão. Um processo de revisão bem estabelecido é essencial para legendas de qualidade. Já percebeu quando um texto desce redondinho? Pode ter certeza de que ele tem a mão do revisor. Como moro no Porto, em Portugal, decidi checar a experiência de ver o filme no cinema com uma audiência portuguesa – e, é claro, com uma legenda portuguesa também. Apesar de terem sido mais conservadores na tradução dos palavrões, o que diminuiu o impacto e a graça de algumas cenas para mim, isso não impediu que o público gargalhasse, sem exageros, o filme praticamente todo.
Por falar em palavrões, confesso que a quantidade que encontrei nas legendas brasileiras me assustou à primeira vista (nada de puritanismo, é só mesmo o costume à censura das legendas para a TV). Passado o susto inicial, no entanto, comemorei. Levando em consideração que este filme fala sobre mulheres que estão cansadas de serem perfeitas para agradarem os outros, os palavrões e a decisão de traduzi-los na legenda funcionam como um dedo do meio para aqueles que ainda cobram determinados comportamentos das mulheres em geral. Não dá para imaginar a desbocada Carla ou sua mãe falando expressões suavizadas para agradar a moral e os bons costumes. Além disso, o estresse do Natal, com os presentes, as comidas, as decorações, as tradições e, acima de tudo, com a família, é o suficiente para Amy, Kiki e Carla – ou qualquer um de nós – mandarem tudo para a puta que pariu!”
