A LBM em cartaz: Novembro, Dezembro e bye-bye 2016!

Hoje é o primeiro dia do ano, sim! Estamos em clima de festa, deixando para trás um ano de desafios, realizações e crescimento e celebrando a chegada de um ano que promete mil maravilhas para quem é orelhudo e anda pela floresta.

Trazemos hoje a retrospectiva de lançamentos dos últimos dois meses, desejando a todos os nossos leitores um 2017 cheio de filmes incríveis com legendas abençoadas 🙂

NOVEMBRO

Duas estreias em novembro, uma nacional e outra, internacional. Na primeira semana, a PlayArte Pictures abriu o mês em parceria com o mouse trazendo às telas “Mundos Opostos”, esse filme lindíssimo sobre histórias de amor em tempos de crise política e social na Grécia. O filme é um chamariz para a questão dos refugiados, que vem ganhando a merecida atenção por aqui, mas ainda é muito pouco perto do que precisa ser.

Uma das iniciativas super bacanas que temos por aqui que contempla a questão dos refugiados é o Abraço Cultural. A organização capacita refugiados para dar aulas de idiomas de forma muito séria, gerando renda e inclusão social para essas pessoas que tanto precisam. Os cursos têm um preço muito convidativo e quem faz recomenda muito. O projeto, que começou com 5 turmas há alguns anos, já conta com mais de 40, além de workshops e outras atividades. O programa é praticamente todo feito por voluntários, então você pode ajudar doando seus talentos também. Para saber mais, clique aqui.

Na semana seguinte, o aguardado “O Vendedor de Sonhos”, baseado no best-seller homônimo de Augusto Cury, estreou nas telonas. Ninguém poderia saber indo ao cinema, mas a LBM caprichou numa versão legendada em inglês do filme para que fosse exibido em festivais internacionais antes mesmo da sua estreia por aqui. Esperamos que faça muito sucesso mundo afora com as nossas legendas!

DEZEMBRO

Em dezembro, mais uma dobradinha nacional + internacional. Ambas estreias do dia 17, o drama de guerra “Um Estado de Liberdade” e o documentário “Marias” contaram com legendas by LBM.

“Um Estado de Liberdade”, distribuído pela Paris Filmes, conta a história de um grupo de rebeldes contra a Confederação durante a Guerra Civil Americana. Além de um recorte histórico interessante, o filme lida com a questão racial por um ângulo judicial que não costumamos ver. No tocante à tradução, procuramos diferenciar as falas dos senhores e escravos, sem causar muito estranhamento na medida do possível. Usamos, por exemplo, os termos “sinhô” e “sinhá”. O personagem principal Newton (Matthew McConaughey) ficava ali no meio termo entre os dois linguajares, outro motivo pelo qual foi importante fazer a diferenciação estratégica das variedades.

Do lado tupiniquim, “Marias” finalmente chegou às telas depois de um tempão em produção e de ter rodado festivais mundo afora. Já tínhamos divulgado o filme aqui no blog, na ocasião da exibição dele ano passado no Festival do Rio. Tivemos o prazer de trabalhar bem próximos da diretora Joana Mariani, que define o filme como a obra da sua vida. O doc foi gravado em diversos lugares da América Latina e traz discussões e insights sobre as Marias que temos por aqui e o que significa ser Maria sob vários aspectos. É um show de poesia e nós recomendamos! Da nossa parte, as legendas em português, espanhol e inglês foram feitas com muita dedicação e carinho.

Janeiro começa com tudo. A LBM, além das costumeiras legendagens, vem trazendo novidades incríveis, como dublagem e acessibilidade. Vamos contar tudo para vocês em breve. Nos aguardem 🙂
