Para a estreia desta quinta nublada, trouxemos nosso espião gerente João Artur de volta. Ele veio comentar “Mark Felt – O Homem que Derrubou a Casa Branca”, coisa sigilosa e ultrassecreta!

No atual cenário político do Brasil, a história de Mark Felt ganha contornos bem especiais. Afinal, um agente do FBI que provoca a renúncia (ou era isso ou era o impeachment) de um presidente (Nixon) após um escândalo de espionagem eleitoral poderia levantar vários pontos em comum com situações recentes na memória do povo brasileiro e cujos desdobramentos ainda estamos vivendo.

Em “Mark Felt – O Homem que Derrubou a Casa Branca”, Liam Neeson (“A Lista de Schindler”, “Busca Implacável”, “Silêncio”) dá vida ao agente do FBI que, secretamente, vazou informações para a imprensa americana sobre a invasão da sede do partido democrata no edifício Watergate, que virou sinônimo de escândalo. É sério! A língua inglesa e sua maravilhosa plasticidade logo adotou “-gate” como sufixo que indica escândalo. Divirta-se com essa incrível lista de escândalos com o sufixo “-gate”.

O atuação de Neeson dispensa comentários e mostra uma faceta humana do agente do FBI que é frequentemente reduzido aos feitos entregues por sua infame alcunha, “Garganta Profunda” – analogia que foi fruto do sucesso do filme pornográfico de mesmo nome naquele ano de 1972.

MOMENTO CURIOSIDADE!

“Lovelace”, a cinebiografia de Linda Boreman, a estrela de “Garganta Profunda”, foi traduzida pelo sócio-pai nos idos de 2013. No filme, Linda é interpretada por Amanda Seyfried.

O assunto segue polêmico, Seyfried.

Para quem quer fazer o dever de casa completo sobre o Escândalo de Watergate no cinema, o ratinho recomenda “Todos os Homens do Presidente” (1976), filme que venceu 4 estatuetas do Oscar e conta com atuações brilhantes de Dustin Hoffman e Robert Redford. A perspectiva narrativa desta vez é a dos jornalistas do Washington Post que colaboraram com Felt no vazamento de informações sobre as investigações de Nixon e seus aliados. Emocionante? Pode apostar!

Para não dizer que não falamos de tradução… além da dificuldade inerente a um filme recheado de termos políticos próprios de um sistema bem diferente do nosso, que precisam ser traduzidos ou adaptados e exigem muita pesquisa, vale destacar a atmosfera de suspense que envolve vários momentos do filme. Em diversas cenas, Felt encara seus próprios colegas e subordinados no FBI que nem suspeitam de sua atividade e todo cuidado é pouco na escolha do vocabulário para não escorregar e soltar informações antes da hora. Afinal quem sabe o quê? Desde quando? Enfim, todos esses detalhes devem ser levados em conta na hora de traduzir as falas de um homem que detém informações que podem derrubar a Casa Branca.
