O “LBM em cartaz” de hoje vem de chapéu de caubói e fivela no cinto apresentar mais um filmaço nacional. Como a gente é versátil e não gosta de se repetir, desta vez trazemos uma comédia, “Divórcio”. Para quem ainda não está sabendo sobre o filme que estreou ontem, o trailer é um abre-alas bem digno.

O filme, com sua receita hollywoodiana, foi superbem recebido pela crítica brasileira.  Na sua crítica pelo Adoro Cinema, Rodrigo Torres chamou a produção de “Sr. e Sra. Smith à paulista” e elaborou sobre alguns dos elementos cinematográficos que tornam a experiência do espectador tão bacana: “Divórcio adota um high concept típico: Júlio (Murilo Benício) e Noeli (Camila Morgado) são um casal rico que se separa e inicia uma guerra judicial por seus bens — pronto. Uma ideia sucinta, universal, que permite o acréscimo de uma gama de elementos que enriqueçam a trama; e assim acontece. O roteirista Paulo Cursino (Até que a Sorte nos Separe) explora as muitas possibilidades cômicas do argumento escrito pelo produtor LG Tubaldini Jr., fundamentado em um aspecto que o diferencia de outros longas brasileiros: a vida no interior paulista. O filme estreou ontem com acessibilidade completa by LBM. Maior desafio apresentado? Tivemos que regravar cenas de Libras e audiodescrição porque os intérpretes tinham crises de riso. Curiosamente, eis que tropeçamos neste vídeo da Camila Morgado contando sua experiência durante o filme. A vida imitando a arte?

Mas ó benhê, o ratinho já está de caso com esse divórcio há um tempo. No começo do ano, um corte já bem próximo ao final ganhou suas legendinhas em inglês para ser exibido em festivais internacionais. Quem acompanha nosso blog já está careca de saber a trajetória dos filmes nacionais, que saem por aí desfilando internacionalmente para depois estrearem por aqui (prometo que é a última vez que dou essa explicação até o próximo filme).

Então vamos falar de versão. “Divórcio” é um filme bem desafiador de se passar para outras línguas, por trazer fortes referências culturais que encontramos por aqui e não são nada universais. Infelizmente, muito do falar dos personagens que remete ao interior, principalmente sintaxe e sotaque, se perdem na tradução. Por outro lado, como vocês leram ali em cima no texto do Rodrigo, o high concept do filme é típico e, portanto, universal. Muito dos termos relacionados ao divórcio são transpostos com perfeição, mas não só isso: brigas de casal e conversas com advogados são contextos que vêm recheados de vocabulário e jeitos de falar com os quais dá para brincar de uma língua para a outra.

Mas aí como faz pra andar com o plot?

Separamos aqui para vocês três exemplos de expressões legais que conseguimos incluir nas legendas, para entrar para o vocabulário de quem estuda e para o repertório de quem traduz. Vamos lá?

 

Ê, MAS QUE FERVO GOSTOSO!

A chateação-mór de uma fala dessas é pensar que nenhum gringo que não saiba português jamais vai saber o que é um fervo; uma pena. Superada essa frustração inicial, fomos buscar um termo para “festa”, que tivesse aquela conotação extra de uma celebração mais barulhenta e animada. Ficou assim: “What a fantastic wing-ding!”

ISSO É CONVERSA!

Antes do acontecimento que precipita o divórcio, Noeli já está bem #xati com seu marido, Júlio. Conversando com sua amiga, ela descreve mil defeitos do cara, incluindo que o cocô dele não desce com a descarga (!). Sua amiga, que já está vendo que esse papo exagerado não tem nada a ver, joga para a Noeli: “isso é conversa!” E aí, pudemos usar a gíria superbacaninha “hot air”. Veja como ficou a sequência:

It’s a stubborn poop,

it’s like styrofoam.

 

You flush it and it goes down,

but then it comes back up.

 

Then you flush it harder,

but it comes back again.

 

-You try again…

-Noeli!

 

Back and forth poop?

That’s just hot air.

 

ESSE CATANDUVA NÃO PERDOA, NÃO!

Numa cena de rachar o bico, Noeli forja um encontro sexual com o cantor sertanejo Catanduva, que seu marido acompanha através de uma câmera plantada no quarto da ex. Noeli e Catanduva falam baixarias e fazem gemidos para fazer parecer que estão se pegando, enquanto Júlio acompanha o áudio com seus colegas, emputecido (a imagem da câmera foi devidamente coberta por Noeli). Ao ouvir os elogios de Noeli ao cantor, um dos colegas de Júlio fala que dizem que o cara “não perdoa”. Mas não tem erro, R. Kelly salvou nossa pele nessa. Todo mundo aqui conhece o verbo “flirt”, mas também dá pra substantivar e dizer que alguém é um flirt em inglês, querendo dizer que o cara seduz mesmo, não perdoa. Na própria letra do nosso amigo rapper, ele se descreve como flirt, dizendo que não vai perdoar nem a mina dos amigos!
