Vamos começar com: Feliz Ano Novo a tod@s!

2016 começa muito empolgante e promissor. Em 2015, tivemos muitas estreias bombantes e parcerias incríveis, abrindo caminho para mais projetos em 2016. Momento dramalhão: obrigad@ a todos os leitores do nosso blog e pessoas que acompanham nossa fanpage no Face pelo apoio e interesse! Os acessos e feedback nos dão motivação para continuar compartilhando.

Enxugadas as lágrimas, vamos ao último recap de 2015, o mês de dezembro – que por sinal foi bem interessante!

SEMANA 1 (3/12)

Logo na primeira semana do mês, começamos com duas estreias.

Com distribuição da PlayArte, o thriller chegou com boas críticas. Na LBM, ele se comportou bem e não nos deu muito trabalho – uma quantidade até modesta de diálogos e foco grande na parte visual e sonora, como um bom thriller. Sobre seu conteúdo, Judge Judy bate o martelo:

 

TUDO QUE APRENDEMOS JUNTOS

A produção da Gullane contou com a versão da LBM para festivais internacionais logo no começo do ano. Como é sempre o caso com as produções nacionais, os bastidores de tradução acontecem bem antes e, quando elas estreiam, é até estranho; parece que faz um século que você mexeu com aquilo! Depois da versão inicial para os primeiros festivais no começo do ano, fizemos um trabalho inédito de adaptação para o Festival de Locarno na Suíça. O filme foi adaptado para ser exibido em inglês e francês simultaneamente numa praça para várias mil pessoas. Então, cada legenda era bilíngue, inglês na linha de cima e francês na de baixo. Nenhum diálogo podia ter mais de uma linha, foi desafiador. Mas deu tudo certo e depois o filme também foi exibido no Festival do Rio. A tradução também não foi das mais simples, com muitas gírias e modos de falar da favela de Heliópolis. Foi um trabalho delicado de transposição sem forçar a barra; a criação de um ambiente único nos diálogos que não tem correspondência exata nem com o original em português, nem com nenhuma realidade linguística em língua inglesa. De fato, um híbrido que só pode existir no mundo das legendas e que serve o propósito de fazer a ponte entre os dois mundos culturais que estão sendo conectados. Esse tipo de projeto sempre me dá a certeza de que a tradução de diálogos é uma coisa única e as possibilidades são infinitas quando entendemos que tudo são escolhas tradutórias.

A Variety publicou uma crítica bacana sobre o filme após o Festival de Locarno que começa com um diálogo traduzido do filme:

“A well-played song will soothe even the fiercest beast,” – a frase que poderia não ter sido dita, mas foi, e foi traduzida pela LBM e chegou à primeira linha da crítica da Variety <3

SEMANA 2 (10/12)

Na segunda semana, mais duas estreias importantes. Vamos lá:

 

OLHOS DA JUSTIÇA

O drama trazido pela Diamond Films é um remake do argentino “O Segredo de Seus Olhos”. Confissões de uma tradutora sem noção: eu não percebi até a última cena do filme, em que o policial acha o cara na prisão doméstica todo ferrado implorando para a mulher falar com ele. Fail total. Tirando isso, tudo bem. A versão Hollywoodiana ainda está em cartaz em alguns cinemas, ainda dá para ler umas boas legendas da LBM 😀

 

PEGANDO FOGO

Gordon Ramsey como produtor executivo, que tal? Adam Jones só poderia ser um monstro. O grande lançamento da Paris Filmes foi cuidadosamente trabalhado pelo ratinho para chegar às telas tinindo. Com a consultoria de uma chef profissional, cansamos de montar nomes de pratos, acertar jargões da cozinha profissional e descobrir nomes de peixes (para que tantos?). Obrigad@ pela ajuda, Mayra Silva! Um glossário para toda a vida.

No comecinho do mês, teve pré-estreia com direito a convite em forma de menu, coisa muito chique. O sócio-pai compareceu em nome do mouse e nossa chef consultora também – aprovado! Agora falta você ir ver e nos contar o que achou.

 

SEMANA 4 (24/12)

Na semana 3, nada. Mas na semana seguinte, tivemos estreia em clima de jingle bells: “Macbeth: Ambição e Guerra”. Essa tradução tem muitas histórias para contar! Por isso, o tradutor-chefe desse projeto, nosso amado João Artur, está preparando um post para Shakespeare nenhum botar defeito. Aguardem!

É isso! Semana 5 sem estreias também, pois até o mouse merece um recesso de fim de ano. Para o começo de 2016, damos uma palinha: “Carol”, “A Escolha”, “Boa Noite, Mamãe!”, “Suíte Francesa”, “Brooklyn”, “Deuses do Egito”, “Tirando o Atraso” e, rufem os tambores, “O Começo da Vida”.
